About Us
We are a small hobby farm in Southern Indiana. We love gardening, foraging, and creating new things from old things and things from nature. We are always trying out new gardening practices and love experimenting with herbs and teas. During summer months we have a local produce stand where we have our garden produce and herbs available for our neighbors to enjoy. We love being outdoors and helping others.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
Now, where did the name Winkleberry Farm come from?Well, it came from my witty daughter who took two things I loved and mashed them together. Van(WINKLE) and Straw(BERRY). The little hobby farm originally belonged to my Aunt and Uncle VanWinkle. My uncle, was my Grandma's brother. Almost every childhood memory I have surround these two families. (Many memories I have yet to tell! Some are dandies!) So, when we were thinking of a name we thought it would only be fitting to include them as well! That is how Winkleberry Farm got it's name!
So stick around a bit! If you don't at least find something useful, maybe we can chat awhile and learn from one another. Don't forget to also visit us on Facebook! We have Recipes, Education videos, and lots more!
